Hi,
I've flown to Poland yesterday and although my iPhone 4S has picked up the local T-Mobile signal, I am not connected to the Internet. I've had a similar problem last year when I went to Switzerland. I've got Clellular data on, Available 3G is on and data roaming on. The Web Chat told me the O2 phone is incompatible with the T-Mobile signal and I should reset the network.
Can you please give me any advice?

http://maps.mobileworldlive.com/index.php looks like an up to date roaming info page
select uk first then select o2 then hit roaming opartners then select poland looks like tmobile on 2g and 3g if you select both types for o2

Did you set up O2 Travel before you went?

Hi Bambino,
Thanks for answering. No, I didn't because I am very seldom abroad. In this case I am returning already on Monday.

Okay, thanks for the solution. What you are saying is that I can't go abroad without signing up for the O2 travel?

No that is wrong o2 travel only gives you cheaper calls and data.
Data should work in any country but will cost more without o2 travel (europe only)
I would contact o2 to see if there were any bars on your account that prevented data from working

Hi adamtemp64,
That's what I thought as well. By the way, I managed to choose a local Orange service provider in Poland and had about five minutes to download my emails, then lost contact (with still three bars strength signal). Is it true I can't connect to the Internet via a T-Mobile signal as Web Chat told me?

I cannot remember the old pages that said what you could do on each network abroad I will have to go through a few old posts and find the link that jonsie posted a few montahs ago and bookmark the page.
I know on some carriers it said 3g not available
try this page http://travelabroad.o2-uktech.com/coverage.php
It is an old outdated page but era was rebranded as T-Mobile

I stand corrected. It was not my intention to give out misinformation. I had always thought that you needed O2 to enable your phone to be able to use it abroad.
