I need to change the billing address for my ipad which is on an O2 contract but as they want to send a code to the ipad's 'phone number' it doesn't work as no texts appear via the phone number for the ipad sim. Very annoying. Why do they think the ipad is a phone? It can only receive imessages sent to my apple id email address ffs. I also tried to upgrade but again a code was sent which was not received by the ipad. Grr! They have my actual mobile no as that is also O2 so why not sent it to that.

It's the way the system works. You either need to call customer service or write in.
