I have moved from my Nokia 1020 to an iPhone 4s which has always been on O2 and was infact my partners before she upgraded last year.
It's now running ios9 as iTunes said it needed to update it.
Now it just gives an exclamation mark when sending a text message.
I have done the *005 thing and the number it has is +447802000332
I am on pay monthly and the carrier is version 21.0
...what am I missing?
It shows that it's connected to 3G.
I have tried turning off imessages and trying but it made no difference.

I'm going to give it until overnight and see what happens - it may sort itself out.
If not then I am due to upgrade soon and going to get the 6S Plus. Just hope I can get a case for it with it being the size of a house brick.

Mistakes can happen or maybe there was an outstanding payment on the contract?
Have you checked to see yet?
