For the last few weeks part way through most phone calls the person on the other end suddenly can't hear me even though I can hear them perfectly. Hanging up and dialing again doesn't clear it and I usually have to wait anything up to a minute for it to sort itself out or put the phone into flight mode to force it to clear.

I have tried restoring my phone but the issue still persists.

It also only appears to have started when I first updated to iOS 9.3.2.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

First thing I'd try is a new sim card (any o2 shop can do a simswap for you) and if that doesn't work, take it to an Apple store for them to run a diagnostic check on it.

I got a sim swap at my local O2 shop and so far so good. Hopefully I'll have no more issues with callers unable to hear me.
