Re: Call from 0800 064 1087

[ Edited ]

I wonder if O2 have considered that these people say they are O2 when they are in fact an agent?

The same company/number also phone Orange and Vodafone as well as O2 customers so I can't imagine it could be O2.

People will often refuse calls like this as you can see here:

Hi guys,

Just so that you know, the 08000641087 number is genuine and comes from our outbound sales team.

If you would not like to receive these calls, you can opt out by visiting the marketing preferences menu via MyO2.

Cheers, Toby

My girlfriend had a call off this number this evening. Also, before and after the call she received around 5 text messages. The text messages were asking things like "if she found the text messages informative", "if she was getting too many text messages".

The thing is though, in her marketing preferences she has the "Nothing just now" option selected, so we cannot understand why she is getting calls, texts from O2 or their outbound sales team.

How is it possible Toby to stop this from happening again?

Thanks Smiley Happy

Thanks perksie, but that link puts me onto the marketing preferences that we looked at earlier which shows "Nothing just now"

I'm sure that number belongs to LBM Marketing Ltd, who are an approved agent for O2.

Check the post on page one of this thread by wegras for their email address and phone number.

I've just sent an email off to them now requesting for my girlfriend's telephone number to be taken off their records, has she does not want any further contact.

I'll post a reply back on this thread once I hear back from them, thanks again perksie Smiley Happy

Yes I'll be interested as I don't think they should be doing this especially as you've opted out on the O2 site already.
