Buying new iphone5 on eBay

Anonymous
Not applicable

Dear Friend , I am not a techie person . I have an old iPhone 4 with 6GB storage . I'm on a contract that costs me £15 per month .

Emails on on my phone don't work because it is clogged up with photos I think.

Im thinking of buying a new iPhone on eBay . How safe is this ? I'd be glad of advice and suggestions

Personally I would be very wary unless the seller has a very high rating. I wouldn't buy it from someone who is just selling their own. Ebay has many people who sell phones as part of insurance scams.

You could look on here for the nearly new phones https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/like-new?cm_mmc=googleuk-_-PPC_Direct_Handsets-_-Handset-Refurb-O2-_-LikeN...  or even CEX who do give a guarantee...

With respect, if you're not techie and don't understand the risks and pitfalls, I'd keep well away from ebay.
You can get good deals on pre-owned phones elsewhere with guarantees such as here https://www.giffgaff.com/mobile-phones/pre-owned

@Anonymous I agree with the comments of @Cleoriff and @MI5. I would also suggest that if you're happy with your current phone you might want to search on Google for topics on 'unclogging' your phone, or call into an Apple store and get some assistance on how to do it.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
