@Km22knl

Swipe up from "Hello" screen to enter your preferred language.

@Km22knl

So just checking......

You swipe up from Hello and it goes to language selection.

You tap on your language, then nothing?

Its a white screen  with Hello in the middle which is flashing and the word Hello changes to different languages. At the top is a lock symbol with swipe up to unlock. When I swipe up, for a moment you see the number pad and it goes back to white Hello screen

That's not right at all @Km22knl

It shouldn't be locked or showing the keypad at all at that point.

Do you have a PC or laptop?

@Km22knl there will be ways to try and resolve it yourself (connecting to a PC / Mac and putting your device into recover mode may help), but given this is a new phone I would make an appointment at your local Apple Store and get them to resolve / replace as you'll be well in warranty
