Both my sister and myself have iPad mini. We live miles apart so it is ideal to use face time to keep in touch .. However I am blurry while she us clear ... and I appear blurry to her .. I also checked taking a photo of myself and that is also blurry, but not if I am taking a photo of anything else ... all updates are up to date ... I don't ave this problem on my iphone4, but I use the iPad mostly .. Any ideas please

Ok stupid me .... I fitted the last screen protector last month from a new pack, and guess what ?? They are 'matte' !!!!!!! Found one of the others which are 'clear' and problem solved, which sometimes goes to show it is often the simplest of things we forget about
Sorry to have wasted your time .... Many thanks

Hi Valerie.

Does the blur correct itself after a short while ?

Occasionally slow internet can cause this too.

The front facing camera is not s high a spec as the rear facing one.

That said it should be clear.

Check any case yu have is not hindering the camera and is free from dust etc.

If your concerned then if you have a local apple store either make yourself a genius appointment or just pop in and try their working demo models out to see.

Could be a focus issue with the camera. Is there a screen protector fitted?

Just to add try a simple reset.

Press the top button and home button until the apple logo appears and let go.

I have done the quick reset more than once, no, it doesn't un-blur after a short while, yes there is a screen protector on, but always had it on from day one and it worked ok then ... Just seems to have gone like this in the last month or so .... I also have a screen protector on my iPhone and that is perfectly clear

Ok.

I would then suggest the apple Genius Bar appointment via the link I posted.

If you google for the issue you speak of their are many posts about this which most say to get assistance from Apple.

So if you take a picture of yourself using the front camera it's blurry but if you take a picture of something else with the front camera it's clear is that what you are saying?

Awesome result.

It is sometimes a case or screen protector.

And it's not a waste of anyone's time. Don't worry.

Take care.
