Awaiting Sim transfer

Anonymous
Not applicable

I purchased my iphone5s at 10am this morning, it's awesome! Downside, the transfer of my number is taking FOREVER! well probably not literally, it says 24hours and be patient bla bla bla, turn phone of and on again every now and then to check.

Is it taking so long cos so many are doing the same thing? I feel from what i've read and 02's lack of actual phones on launch day states otherwise, but anyone got a clue?

Correct.

You need your blank SIM card with you. When you perform the sim swap online you receive a code to your old sim which you then use.

It takes from a few hours to 24 hrs usually.

So yesterday I purchased my iPhone with refresh contract (new number) and I currently have a simplicity contract And its my current number I want to keep. Is a sim swap what I'm looking for then?

If you upgraded your number will
Go with you.

Speak to live chat for clarification or 202 tomorrow.

If you opened up a new contract you will have another contract and number.

I think it was processed as a new contract. Can I still transfer my number? Will get onto live chat and double check.

Just spoke on live chat and they confirmed all can be transferred when I get my new sim. Thanks for your help.

I would ASAP or you could end up with two contracts running side by side !

Live chat will hopefully be able to start things in motion to help ,but you may have to end up calling o2 tomorrow.

Good luck.
