Autherised New Sim Card Without Properly Backing Up Old Phone and Sim.

Hi there.

I recieved my new iphone through the post today, which is great. However, I activated the new Sim and phone without backing up the old phone recently. Consequently, the settings on my new phone are now out of date. Is there a way to update all the settings on my new phone to match that of my old iphone?

Yours sincerely, Neil.

Hi and a welcome to the forum.

Are you on iOS 7

If so an iCloud back up may have carried out all by itself in the background.

Hook up to iTunes and restore via back up that way or perform it from your iPhone.

If you still have the old phone make a full back up on your PC then restore your new phone choosing the back up you just made.

No worries.

Fingers crossed.

Let us know how you get on.

Check in your Settings ~ iCloud ~ Storage & Backup ~ iCloud Backup is toggled on.
