Hi, I have a very strange issue. my daughters iPhone and apple watch se (brand new 22MY) are additional contracts on my account. However it appears her iPhone and watch are using different numbers. Also the watch will not accept calls / texts if the phone is off - but it says its connected to O2 Data.

They are both pay monthly and I cant see any reason why this would be the case - is there a quick fix or is it an error with O2? We have tried deleting the phone / removing the data and reinstalling etc but it still doesn't work

They all have to have different numbers as you can't have two devices with the same number, but it sounds like the data plan isn't activated properly so If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

I’m having the same issue but only with SMS. I just assumed it used iMessage to send the SMS via the paired iPhone

@DavidAllan

You won't receive sms unless the phone is in range as O2 don't yet support sms delivery in the way the watch works.
