O2 do not have any plans for this at all, sorry.
Previously asked and answered by O2 and an explanation:
This article explains why https://www.macworld.co.uk/news/apple/when-will-apple-watch-3-lte-come-o2-3664181/
Why can't O2 offer Apple Watch data plans?
The first thing to mention is that this isn't some sort of artificially created exclusive sweetheart deal set up between EE and Apple - there is, according to EE and corroborated by one other provider, a concrete technological reason why that provider is the only one capable of handling the Apple Watch in the UK.
An EE spokesperson told us that "EE is the only UK network that has the capability to 'share' a number across a hard SIM (in the phone) and the Apple e-SIM (in the watch)."
At present this isn't something O2 can offer - so it isn't simply a question of waiting for an exclusivity deal to expire.
Additional info from @Chris_K Who may have further information now...
Apple Watch Series 3 Info
Q.Why are you not ranging the Apple Watch Series 3?
A. O2 will not be ranging the Apple Watch Series 3 from launch but we continue to review our range of products and services to ensure that they meet the needs of our customers.

Yes heaven forbid that Apple should sully their hardware with something as humble as a nano sim slot in their supposd LTE enabled watch, though I guess it does make the watch slimmer if useless as an LTE device without an iPhone and an EE data plan.
It gives me a sense of serenity that were it not for the fact that Apple invested in ARM during it's spin off from Acorn/Olivetti around 1990 to the tune of 43% for $1.5m and then sold the holding during the Jobsless years for $800m when they were deep financial trouble, it's very likely Apple would have collapsed
It gives me an even greater sense of serenity that were it not for the fact that the BBC commissioned Acorn (As opposed to Sinclair or anyone else) to make the BBC micro, it's highly unlikely that Sophie Wilson and Steve Furbur would have written and designed the reduced instruction set computer (risc) processors that became the first ARM chips.
It's arguable that the ARM chip is the second greatest invention the UK has ever produced (after the steam engine) and if it hadn't have been, the world would be a very different place. In case you are wondering ARM Architecture and IP are in pretty much every mobile device in the world.
It's entirely possible that Apple will pull away from intel for their Macs and develop their own processors based on you guessed it .... ARM!!!
