I am on a sim only tariff and want to upgrade my tariff prior to buying an iPhone 12 (handset only). If I do the upgrade now and request a 5G sim, will it work in my iPhone X with 4G until I get my iPhone 12?

Also remember you will need to update your tariff to enable 5G as well

All O2 tariffs are now 5g capable.
