Change your language setting to "British English" rather than "English" it will change the cellular to mobile:) found this out yesterday after a month of confusion between members haha.

Ok now to your main problem.

Is 3G working ok for you data wise? Can you use the web etc?

What are your APN settings?

do you recieve iMessages from other people without problem?

You need wi-fi or 3G turned on to use iMessage.

@liquid thanks for the language of the iPhone, mine was awfully confusing too

And iMessage basically used Internet, so you and your friend have to have some kind of web access, so you could just have mobile data enabled and not 3G

I know right haha. The amount of times I told people to look in "cellular" and I got the response of "I can't find it" was horrible.

Everyone was looking for ages for a solution then boom I found it:) so ruddy simple haha:(

I take full credit because I am that modest wink

Yup that's the one:)

Settings>general>international>language.

Set it as British English.
