new iphone 5, cut down old blackberry sim but doesn't seem to work

hi recieved a new iphone 5 for xmas,cut down blackberry sim put into iphone and get message only compatible sim cards from supported carrier may be used to activate iphone.Please insert the sim card that came with your iphone or visit a supported carriers store to recieve a replacement sim card.

now the sim card still works in blackberry.will i have to go in store to get a new sim?the phone is an o2 phone i believe when purchased

Lest hope thay are a trustworthy supplier on ebay.

 

Get the nano sim from o2 if that fails then claim from the seller

a nano sim is thinner as well best to get one from an o2 store then do the sim swap

If it's an o2 phone then just go to the store and order a sim and they will transfer your number and tariff over for you. You will need to swap the BB bolt on to the iphone data bolt on.

 

It should tell you on the box if it's an o2 phone.

While you are at the o2 store ask them to check it by putting a sim in it first.

Phone is locked to a different network...

Oh heck yet another phone purchased off flea bay giving issues.

Quickly follow the advice given and be ready to launch a dispute. I'm hoping you used PayPal and if so launch a dispute with them too.

Also check the sellers small print to ensure it does say the phone is on 02 or unlocked.
