lost cellular network access

Anonymous
Not applicable

I spoke twice to a Guru today and explained that I suddenly my phone suddenly cannot activate cellular data network anymore. Apparently when I recently change my tariff the botl on was changed which triggered this off. I was reassured the bolt on was changed by midnight tonight and that I could follow the instructions on the email to activate cellular data network again and what can I say of course it does not work! Any suggestions?

Can I ask what tariff you switched too please.

In your iPhones settings>general>mobile data> mobile data network

What is stated under your APN settings?

Also welcome to the forums slight_smile

Also maybe it sounds too simple but try restarting the phone;

1) hold the power and home button down together until you see the apple logo appear.

2) Then let go and wait for it to boot.

3) cross your fingers (both hands!)

4) see if its working:)

I too got a telephone call asking if I wanted to change my tariff. I said yes and since then I have had no cellular data coverage only can use internet under wi-fi and sending text messages is almost impossible and forget sending MMS!!!

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated please!

It can only be incorrct settings.

iphone data bolt on : idata.o2.co.uk

standard bolt on : mobile.o2.co.uk

Reset network settings and reboot the phone.
