Question from a paranoid person.

When I unlock then put in a new SIM from another provider, it doesn't then go and lock to that one for six months does it!?

Once it's unlocked it's unlocked for all networks permanently.

No of course not. Once unlocked officially it will remain so forever. It's the dodgy unlocks that cause issues.....

no it becomes an permantly unlocked iphone

iPhone 7 128gb on yearly refresh 20gb tariff

My first mobile was in 1995 a CM-R111 from sony on Cellnet.

I'd never even heard of "locking" until I got this iPhone so anything seems possible!

I am so happy that O2 has decided to unlock customer's Iphone for free on pay monthly. I think this is the right way forward for O2 in attracting more customers to their network. What do you think?

It's for all iPhone 5 regardless of contract or PAYG Smiley Wink
