iPhone 3GS upgraded software to iOS6 and now wi-fi won't connect

I downloaded the upgraded software on to my iPhone 3GS and everything is as it was previously except I can't connect to BT Wi-Fi even though I'm registered and am within a hotspot.  I have BT Broadband at home and am with O2 on my mobile.

I'm not a tecchie so simple answers would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Try resetting your connection. Text "wifi" to 2121

It's a known issue with the ios6 all you can do is keep resetting settings as a temporary fix. Hopefully apple will fix it in a update.

Try resetting network settings on your phone and also restarting your router. I also changed the name of my device slightly before restarting the phone and router in settings > general > about . Let me know how you get on.
