My I phone 4S won't let me switch on to wifi on my handset. Wifi is definitely working on other devices. I've tried it everywhere at other peoples houses & also compared athey setting on my phone to my husbands identical Iphones. Ive used all my 3G data & more up as I didn't realise. Genius appointment booked in. Any ideas anyone? Thanks

Have you tried resetting your network settings

Thank you for your help - it was invaluable! The wifi toggle was greyed out so I followed your link. I backed up, reset, then resynced the phone from back up - to no avail. However, I was right to do all this, because at my Genius appointment, my phone was replaced under its warranty. Apparently following the most recent software update, the internally antenna will not work with the firmware on a very small number of versions of my I phone 4s's. I was glad that I followed your link - it meant I could easily restore my new phone without loss of data/ contacts etc.
Thank you again - I was well prepared, and had done everything I could have, prior to replacement!
