Unlocking iphone3G

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi

I have an ancient i-phone 3G that I have had for years with o2, and wanted to unlock it.

I've just chatted with a web assistant and have been told that they can't trace the order on my account and that I will have to go back to the shop from where I bought it from.  The problem is, I now live miles away from where it was.

Is there really no other way I can get this thing unlocked?  I still don't understand why only going to the point of sale shop will allow it to be unlocked, and the assistant was not helpful in answering this question.

Thanks

Dom

Normal procedure is to use the unlock form process in the link in my signature.

If nyou no longer have an O2 account or sim card you would have to put in a P&G sim card and use it for a couple of calls leaving £15 credit on the phone to pay for the unlock and then send off the online form.
