Transfering from iphone4 to iphone 5 sim

Hi this my first time on o2 community. I have just upgraded from iphone 4 to iphone 5, I want to transfer all data etc to my new sim.

Do I use swap my sim or activate my new phone and sync to itunes and will data then automatically transfer to my new sim. Or do I do both. Please help i am confused?

Sim need to be swapped over to activate your contract details. Back up 4 in iTunes and you can then restore on your 5 for the phone content.

If you are using iCloud you could do a back up to it and then restore from the iCloud back up too o transfer all your contacts and settings etc.
