Sync Contacts & Calenders to Hotmail ???

Can someone please explain in "english" if & how i can sync my contacts & calenders from my iPhone 4s over to Hotmail... When i connect my iPhone to itunes the only 2 options i have is outlook & windows mail...

Please help, be gentle, i am a simpleton !!!!!

I think you have to sync to Outlook and then sync Hotmail to Outlook. Unless someone knows another way?

Thanks.... i have done all that, but the problem is getting "hotmail" to show up on itunes when i plug my iphone in. It's just so i can back up my contacts to there as i hate icloud ???? and want to delete it all together, but i have to "copy" my contacts over so i don't loose them.... Or does someone know another way ???
