If the networks busy it can take a little longer than the 24hours stated by 02.

One time it took 2 days for me.

Keep turning it off and on and also re check your apn settings.

If you have an iphone specific data bolt on set the APN's to idata.o2.co.uk.

If you have a standard data bolt on then the APNs should be set to mobile.o2.co.uk or you can use wap.o2.co.uk. (make sue the letter 'o' is used and not a zero.)

Just a thought, is the swap quicker if you are plugged into iTunes as when I did my sim swap, they said 24 hours but as it was a new phone, I restored it from my backup & the whole swap was done within 2 hours & I was plugged into iTunes all the while doing my backup & various other things with my new iPhone

No Stuart, iTunes has no effect on number transfers. It's wholly dependent on the provisioning team at O2 and their workload.
