Iphone5 unlocking- Guidance Required

Anonymous
Not applicable

Irritatingly I have been caught out by the CPWH small disclaimer that states that if you buy the Iphone5 sim free from them it locks itself to that network upon first use.

As we all know o2 would unlock at the moment.

I wish to get my phone unlocked, will pay for my own mistake of going to the CPWH ,(I will never make that mistake again), and free my own piece of expensive kit, so that I can use it as I please, and with whom I please.

Ive seen lots of websites that offer this service, various prices, length of time etc.

Can any1 direct me to such a site, via DM where possible to share their experience, how it worked and how much.

Thanks- Alex

The last time I looked CPW don't sell SIM free iPhone 5's, just contract or PAYG ones which as you say are unlocked until a SIM is inserted (this is to reduce the number of handsets needed to be held in stock). If you have written evidence to the contrary then I would pursue this with them.... Anyway, there is a website that offers what you need which has been posted previously, however, it cost around £80 and I wouldn't want to be the one who recommended it to you. Best to hold on 3/4 months until O2 start to do it legitimately.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
