2g toggle for iPhone se

Anonymous

Hi, does anyone know if the 2g toggle is available for the iPhone SE yet. Heard it had been taken away and don't want to get an SE until this is available due to poor signal at home.

Thanks

I haven't got the SE yet but a friend didn't have this option on an O2 contract SE a few months ago, there was no 2g toggle there where you have said to change it. Has this changed recently?

O2 removed it, put it back and removed it again.
What you need is someone with an o2 contracts and an SE to tell you if it's in now or not but I'm not aware of any o2 carrier updates in the last 2-3 months.
O2 are also refarming much of their 2g spectrum to give 4g on the old frequency so I can see a time (shortly) where there will be no 2g on o2 (like Three).
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

@Anonymous It may have changed recently but may also have had a carrier update which took it away also but my SE has always had the toggle

Also to add to what @MI5 has said. You will more likely find better signal structure if your se is on 3G or 4G as o2 is currently upgrading all their masts to 4G capacity. They upgraded my local mast a few weeks ago

it is on my 7 with ios 10.2 etc and the latest beta it will appear or dissapper on all o2 contract devices using the same carrier file it is not just the 6se.

The o2 carrier file for pay monthly changes all Iphones running the latest ios to enable or disable the toggles.
