Can anyone help?

Recieved my eight digit 'unlatching Code' from o2 today, followed instructions and entered the code at the "Network locked SIM card inserted" prompt, but it keeps saying "unsuccessful"

Thanks

The phone is hard locked - you will never unlock it from O2 now.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Hi @Timberwolfuk

There have been lots of problems with unlocking phones recently. I will tag our community manager, @EmilieT, who has been very successful in sorting out unlocking problems. I'm sure she will be in touch with you later on this morning.

In the meantime, welcome to the forum Welcome

Unlock codes are usually longer than 8 digits.
How to get one is here https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/Unlocking-an-O2-phone-to-use-a-different-SIM-card/ba-p/1...
If you enter the wrong code more than 5 times the phone will be hard locked forever, with no hope of ever unlocking it.
I suspect you are trying to enter your PUK?
How did you get the code?

Actual Wording:

'SIM Network PIN Blocked, Enter SIM network PUK'

I Know it says PUK, but everything points to a locked phone (this phone works with 02 sim's?)  and why would  I need a PUK code for my Vodafone Sim that works in every other unlocked phone I've ever used?

Many thanks
