sending mms on Samsung Galaxy Note2

Hi I have rec'd settings twice but am still unable to send mms. I am on pay & go go go and am still trying to get to grips with the new phone. Can anyone help please?

Hi thanks for this message. After numerous attempts I eventually contacted CS only to be advised (Caveat Empor) that pay & go go go does not include mms,so even tho I opted for £20pm I still have to top up more to use mms.Would have been better taking a cheaper monthy contract with another providor - and got a free phone!! Aah well.

Check your settings against these or input manually. Don't forget to reboot after any changes in the settings. Try sending an mms to yourself.

 

ettings - GPRS WAP & MMS

 

Please note all steps must be completed to ensure the settings are correctly configured.
 
Please ensure that when entering O2 into the settings that the letter O is selected and not a zero.

When entering the following information do not press Save until told to in the instructions.

  1. Tap the Menu key
  2. Tap Settings
  3. Tap Wireless & network
  4. Tap Mobile networks
  5. Makesure that the Use packet data box has a green tick in it (tap box to change)
  6. Tap Access Point Names
  7. Tap the Menu key
  8. Tap New APN
  9. Tap Name then tap the text box and enter O2 Pay Monthly then tap OK
  10. Tap APN then tap the text box and enter wap.o2.co.uk then tap OK
  11. Tap Proxy then tap the text box and enter 193.113.200.195 then tap OK
  12. Tap Port then tap the text box and enter 8080 then tap OK
  13. Tap Username then tap the text box and enter o2wap then tap OK
  14. Tap Password then tap the text box and enter password then tap OK
  15. Skip past Server as this is preset as Not set
  16. Tap MMSC then tap the text box and enter http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002 then tap OK
  17. Tap MMS proxy then tap the text box and enter 193.113.200.195 then tap OK
  18. Tap MMS port then tap the text box and enter 8080 then tap OK
  19. Tap MCC then tap the text box and enter 234 then tap OK
  20. Tap MNC then tap the text box and enter 10 then tap OK
  21. Tap Authentication type and tap PAP
  22. Tap APN type and tap Internet + MMS
  23. Press the Menu key
  24. Tap Save
  25. Tap the circle next to the new profile so a green dot appears in it
  26. Press the Back key four times to return to the main menu.



What to do next

 

Switch your handset off and then back on to complete your settings.

The settings are now complete.

Settings as above except your apn name needs to be O2 Pay & Go and insted of wap.o2.co.uk use payandgo.o2.co.uk. You must reboot after saving the settings.
