My S7 is not receivinig the text giving me the activation code for an app...definately not the app as this problem occurred with two different apps. all other texts both sending and receiving work fine.

history of the problem...received new phone Saturday afternoon. The RBS Mobile Banking app worked on old phone. downloded app, input phone number and the app sends text with activation code. text never arrived. googled but nothing specific, phoned RBS who said send text to number 82628 with STOP and I should receive text back...nothing arrived. Have checked that messages has no blocking on, deleted and re-installed app and many other things. yesterday I installed WhatsApp...it also tried to send me an activation code text...it did not arrive. So unlikely to be RBS app as another App has the same problem.

@Anonymous I've found this link. Don't know if it will be of any help to you. Was your previous phone an iPhone?

Have you received activation codes for any other apps such as Priority or My O2? Both use the same sort of short code.

try contacting CS on 202 and ask if there is. Get it removed either temporarily (if you only need to receive a one-off text) or permanently if you are happy to risk it...
