samsung s6 edge won't turn off or on

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi in the last four days twice the phone has had a black screen that has samsung on it. I will now have to wait until the battery dies. Phone was on charge - with the original samsung charger overnight. I pick it up and on each occasion when you press a button the screen goes black with the logo on it.

Any ideas phones only a few mths old.

Volume up button+ power button + home button,

Then you have to press all these three buttons together. Press and hold for 15 seconds

The phone will vibrate and then should reboot.....

I will however ask @MI5 to confirm.....

See how it goes.
If it keeps locking up it needs reflashing but it could just have been a glitch.

The correct order of these button presses is Vol Up, Home, Power (otherwise it may go wrong) but this will boot you into recovery mode.

Just simply holding power button for 15-20 secs will perform a soft boot and clear most issues.
