samsung s3 keyboard freezing?

hi. bit clueless when it comes to ins and outs of technology. phone is only a few months old has massive amounts of memory free and i regularly clear out cache etc to stop phone getting clogged up. over the past week if i touch a search bar or any type of text box (including on forums, texts and in whatsapp) the keyboard can take anything between 30 seconds and over a minute to appear. doesnt sound like long but ita very annoying whe happening all the time. same thing is happening when i open the app menu from homepage, the app icons can take up to a minute to show up. also clicking on links to webpages from within an app eg. a link on twitter for instance is fine but it throws me off the site and back to the app after a minute or so.

any ideas? many thanks.

was worried about doing factory resets etc incase i lose contacts photos etc?

Freezing up is a common problem with the S3, I tried all sorts of things from factory resets to full software reloads, in the end, I cured it by getting rid of my live wallpaper so I'm afraid that you're going to have to experiment all sorts of things, I would recommend that you uninstall an app at a time to see if it cures it.

Also, if you store your photos to your memory card and contacts to your sim / Google account, or even back up via kies, there's no reason why you'll lose it all.

Oh yeah, don't fill your memory card up as this can cause freezing too.

i do have alot of photos on my memory card but its no where near full.

i have uninstalled candy crush as it seems to have been force closing anyway and that seems to have helped for now. wasnt using a live wallpaper.
