samsung Galaxy III wifi on/off

Anonymous
Not applicable

sorry if this has been asked before . i have noticed that in the advanced settings for wifi there is an option keep wi-fi on during sleep.  options are always, only when plugged in and never ( increases data usage).  which one should it be on ?

I connect to the house internet and also free wifi in work.  I have noticed though that sometimes I don't get notifications when phone is asleep only when I am actually using it .

would also welcome suggestions of what settings to put phone on to save battery

Thanks

Always on for me too. The Samsung ROM is not too battery friendly so all you can do is turn off GPS if you're not using it and turn down all the sync intervals of each of your apps. Use a low level of screen brightness and turn on power save....

I use always so I automatically stay connected whether the phone sleeps or not.
