s6 usb pc connection no longer works after update

Help !!

 

My pc no longer recognises my s6 after the recent android update, when the usb cable is connected it now just charges the phone , no connection notification appears on the phone or pc. and kies obviously doesnt see that i have connected the phone

 

I have changed the usb configuration to debugging on and usb is set to mtp in the settings and i have factory reset the phone but it is still the same.

 

The lead is fine as my tablet still connects without issue.

 

samsung s6 - sm-g920f

android 6.0.1

 

any help appreciated !

Phone was faulty, needed a new sub board, fixed within an hour at samsung support shop near me. Excellent service !

It sounds like the drivers haven't loaded properly.
Try updating them from your control panel.

Probably the earliest time to contact Samsung will be tomorrow, although you should be able to email them so they see it first thing in the morning.
