s4 is a pile of rubbish

I have had my samsung s4 for around 5 months. Needless to say it is awful. My screen cracked in my bag pocket after 3 months. Livid to say the least. Not even fixing the damn thing cos what is the point as its just gonna crack again. Do not waste ur money on this product. Im now paying for a £450 phone which i can still use but eveyday the glass shatters more. I would buy myself out and get a new phone but seeming as its only 6 months old not even that i have 380 left to buy it out. Stop selling this product o2. Its bad for your rep. Get rid of it. I have 3 friends that got this phone. All 3 the screens have smashed. Samsung shouldnt be allowed to sell this product. Bet they are laughing at the amount of extra money they are getting for repairs!

a lot of people on that particular thread found that they wouldnt do it under warranty.

although i agree it's not 70 million but not everybody belongs to all of the forums

I would have hoped that if it was proven to be a manufacturing fault that Samsung (or any other OE) would honour warranty repairs.
There was a spate of these failures with early phones but seems to have gone quiet recently so maybe they changed something, which they wouldn't admit to for obvious reasons?

i was going to get one but after reading about all the problems with what i'm assuming also was a bad batch or early issued devices i went with the note 3 instead.

amazing really what a few posts on a forum can do to make you change your mind.

Yeah, that can be a problem - I know many people with S4's without any problems at all.... But the Note 3 is a good choice anyway

yep, i love it almost as much as my S2 i gave my son.

but as for the S4 screens breaking i read that a lot of people were told by Samsung that they must have dropped it and it wasnt covered.

if the OP's digitizer has broken and there is no obvious damage to the glass or any part of the phone i would be making a bit of noise to get it fixed under warranty.

With all due respect, Gorilla Glass by Corning on it's own without any barriers and put under pressure can take a lot in the tech show demos. Stick this material onto a device where the scrutiny may not be as much, it might just not perform the same.

It's stronger and more scratch resistant than standard glass. Tempered Glass like on some LG handsets is good as well. Although when you get an expensive device with screen like this, you have to remember it's not indestructable.

i think the problem is that the GG3 glass bends but the thing it is glued to doesnt at all which makes it pointless in that respect.
