"THREE" Logo on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5800 Removal

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have recently obtained an Unlocked Samsung Galaxy Ace S5800 which Boots with the "3" Logo.

Is it possible to remove this Logo (or have it removed) and replace it with the "o2" logo?

Do you mean the "Ace" (5830) or "Wave" (5800)?
Firmware for the Ace 5830 here http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=8&view=4479

Have just looked at the web page you gave.
Late this afternoon I updated my phone to v2.3.6 successfully but still have the "3" Logo

The firmware I linked you too is the UK Open firmware (ie for unbranded phones). You will still have the 3 firmware on yours.

Have been back to page, but the only download for the UK (plus several other European countries) is the one I upgraded to this afternoon. The Grid List below that does not cover the UK

The best source for all things Android firmware related is the XDA forums - the section for you is at http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1165

Be aware that installing "unofficial" firmware will almost certainly invalidate your warranty and there is a real risk of rendering your phone unusable or at least unstable - so do your homework and weigh-up the risks.

One other warning - the chaps at XDA are very smart but they have zero patience with "noobs" - so be very careful not to post in the wrong section or other break their (often unclear) rules.
