not getting some of my text

My problem is I am not getting all of my text messages one in particular and my mate thinks im ignoring him.he does live about 150 miles away in Doncaster and has 2 phones one on o2 and the other on Tesco he uses both but 90% of time I do not receive his messages we have to chat on wattsapp

So for starter I have a galaxy s8 plus

I have done a factory reset (pain in the*****)

Cleaned the sim

Checked the message centre number

But still have problems probable next step is for me to change networks see if it solves problem

Any help would be great thanks

Have you checked if you have blocked him in the message app?
He might be marked as spam......

Check your message settings for the blocked or reject list.

Also try opening your network settings. Manually choose Vodafone, after the error message reselect O2 and that should clear any blocked messages. 

If he has two numbers it seems strange that you are have problems receiving both so try deleting his contact details in Google and then reenter them.

Also ask your friend to check he hasn't blocked you.

did factory reset so everything got wiped not got any blocked number tried to change network tried vodafhone 3uk and ee but still have problem and it is strange as he has 2 phones which make it look like in not responding

OK, so have to ask the question.
Are you sure he is sending them to you?

he wattsapp me tonight to see if i got the messags he sent yesterday he said he sent three not sure which phone he used probeble his tesco one lol

Obviously tesco uses o2 so it's not even a cross network issue.
Nothing much else I can think of except putting your sim in a different phone to see if you then get their texts?

Good luck but maybe the problem is the other end.
