new sim in a very old phone

HI everyone , i am trying to set up my elderley brothers phone with a new sim from o2. He has just changed networks from EE . His phone is an easy to use one Alcatel and is just push buttons .

I have inserted the new sim and i now need a code to unlock it, a PUK code apparently . where do i get this code from , i am not very techy myself so im struggling to do this for him . can anyone help me

But it may be that the phone is locked to EE in which case you need to ask them to unlock it
