A couple of ways you do this.

Force the phone to ask for re-entry of the password. Just keep trying lock codes until it prompts you to do this. This wll remove any code credentials and turn of the lock screen.

Failing that, you can use the brute method of Factory/ Data Reset using the Bootloader options (Power+Home+Vol Up). Turn your phone for this. You will lose any important data with this method. However this is the last resort.

Hope this helps.

Power off the handset, remove the battery for five minutes, refit and restart. Now see if you can get the "Forgot password?" box to appear below the passcode entry screen - if not, keep trying to enter the code until it lets you see the "forgot code" option - which should let you reset the phone security lock using your Google account login.

Is it asking for a PUK number?

If so call CS or go online to o2.co.uk and search PUK

U will need to give ur basic info. But very easy to solve.

WRITE DOWN THE PUK NUMBER CAREFULLY AND DOUBLE CHECK IT BEFORE U LEAVE THE CALL OR WEBSITE.

Also, the PUK number will always be ur number as long as you have the same handset n SIM card.

Usually you swipe your finger across the screen to unlock or if code protected punch in the code on the keypad.
