kit kat for s4 mini - disaster!

Disaster. On installing it, it rendered my external 16GB mini SD card completely redundant!!!! Not a single device in my home recognises the memory card. All my music, pics, videos and app data GONE. Not happy at all!! 😞

I'm not sure I've heard of a firmware update affecting a SD card before ?

I'm assuming it's not coincidence.

Apparently my brother in law found various forums online showing people with the same complaint - not checked them out for myself yet though... 😞

Unless they were backed up I think they are irretriable unfortunately. Never heard of this problem before though on any previous updates.

I would check and also perhaps speak with Samsung to feed this info back to them.

Are you able to try another SD card in your phone to see if it works.

Generally speaking if you don't mount an sd card properly, it can stop it working. If you have another sd card reader it will rule out corruption.
