Did you change your data from an iPhone data plan to a standard data plan?

New update is that i am unable to get onto the data network, where as i could this morning.

I have mobile data turned on, but the phone just shows a regular network connection rather than a connection to the data network 😞

I made those changes and restarted the handset. It connected breifly to the data network, but is now back on standard network (i did all of this with the handset in a fixed position on my desk to avoid moving it around for the sake of losing signal etc)

Check your postcode for signal issues http://status.o2.co.uk/ and also try MMS in a different area. The settings I gave you should work.

You need to try your phone elsewhere as there are a few weather related problems around at the moment and the status checker may not be updated. Other option is that your sim is faulty but see first if you can connect to a different mast.
