what phones are you going from & to? if both android you could try something like super backup - free from play store, can back up contacts & sms. it will do apps and other stuff.

Android etc use gmail.

iPhone use iTunes or iCloud.

Gmail is the best option for Android or use the manufacturers tools eg. Kies for Samsung etc.

You could try an app called BUMP,comes in both flavours..apple and android,works very well takes seconds

When I upgraded from the HTC Desire S to the Nexus 4 about 9 weeks ago. I asked the woman in the 02 shop the some thing and she did it using the I drive app.

Add your Gmail account to your 800 and sync contacts to Google. When you log into your S4 with your GMail account they will automatically sync.
