However it may pay to use file manager and go into the sd card, create a new folder call DCIM, then another called 100ANDRO and stick the pictures in there.
Album will then list them first.
Or, some rare instances, if you got the sd card really dirt cheap from eBay/amazon and have overfilled the fake capacity with transferring the pics, then the album will never show them.

Look in file commander.
In all the folders, they may have been put in a folder with a nomedia file.
