Is your whatsapp settings allowed to save pictures on your camera roll?

Just look in your Album, they will all be in there.

Should just be in album.
However it may pay to use file manager and go into the sd card, create a new folder call DCIM, then another called 100ANDRO and stick the pictures in there.
Album will then list them first.

Or, some rare instances, if you got the sd card really dirt cheap from eBay/amazon and have overfilled the fake capacity with transferring the pics, then the album will never show them.

If they aren't showing in your album they have gone unless you have auto backup to google+ enabled?

It was an sd card that came with my phone from o2. So upset that they may have vanished as they were pictures of my best friends wedding.
Thank you for your help though. 😔
