handset has died how can I convince O2 to help me HELP

My hand set has died having been rubbish for 2months

I am more than happy to buy a new handset  but I object to having to pay £120 to fast track me to refresh  than pay more for a decent phone  galaxy s4 at around £500 + airtime

I dont want to pay £500 for a handset even over 24months  when I can get one much cheaper

please can someone advise me

I will stay with the contract -port the number etc  and then maybe upgrade again in DEc or not if all ok

O2 have just advised me to call then free from the handset that doesnt work!!!!!

failed miserably on hard reset..got so far then stuck so have given up on that

Hi.

Has anything happened recently that would stop the phone from working.

Ie ;

Recent firmware update.
An accident.

Have you tried to replace the battery if it's a removable one.

Clean the contacts on the battery and phone.

Use PC companion to see if that helps.

Odin May be an option.

Have you tried another charger.

You could purchase another handset from places such as cex to put you on, or as suggested wait until a more acceptable upgrade deal comes along.

Or try one of the independents such as Cpw , but take into account they cannot offer refresh.

Take care.

Your phone will be covered by warranty. Take it in to an O2 shop and they will send it off for repair. Or go directly to the manufacturer.

yep, just take it in and get it repaired.

O2 repaired my S2 which was nearly 2 years old with no problems at all.

I assume you're gonna need to activate the replacement sim card?
What phone are you having trouble with?
