galaxy tab firmware

I'm currently running android 2.3 gingerbread on my galaxy tab p1000 I can't seem to update it, am I missing something? Or have samsung decided not to provide an update for tablet customers?

I can only find this out.

  Samsung just declared that the p1000 is not up-gradable to Ice cream sandwich but their will be an upgrade to give us some features of an ice cream sandwich

Not much good to you, so not sure what is going to happen.

So it looks like there is an update on the way after all, it's just not ICS.
