How do I delete a contact when I get a message "cannot delete contact from read only account"

Haven't seen a message like that before. Is ithis in your standard phone contacts list, or a GMail account etc?

Just a hunch but I think this may be a contact that is linked from Facebook etc?

If it is let me know and I'll try and help as it's a bit of a drawn out process to type up if that's not the issue!
