Hi All
I requested my Google/Samsung Nexus phone to be unlocked by o2 and it was promptly handled by the following email
"Your handset has now been unlatched from the O2 network.
Please follow these steps to complete the unlatching process.
The below needs to done with NO sim card in the phone.
Type the following into the handset...
#xxxxxx*xxx*#
This will bring up a menu, select NCK and then type 8 digit the unlock
code.
Code:xxxxxx"
So when I
1. Take the SIM out
2. Put the code in the dialling screen nothing happens
3. Put the code in the dialing screen and make the call nothing happens
What should I do?

After following the instructions and you put your alternative networks sim card in the phone, does it then reckognise the new network by showing its name in your phones ststus bar ?

Strange instructions!
Try putting other sim card into phone and restarting it.
Should prompt you for the NCK code - enter the code O2 gave you.

Also to check current state of your sim lock type:
*#7465625#
This will show:
Network Lock [ON/OFF]
Network Subset Lock [ON/OFF]
SP Lock [ON/OFF]
CP Lock [ON/OFF]
(ON/OFF depending on your device)
(O2 basically seem to have hashed out the proper numbers in the email they sent you!)

I go into the call page and type
*#7465625#
and press the green call button and the following message comes up
"USSD running" followed by "connection problem or invalid MMI code"
I will have to find another sim and try this
