Xperia z1 firmware update

Im hoping for a reasonable answer, im plagued by the bug with the sound coming out of the earpiece on my handset. Down to last firmware update build number ending in 681. When will we get the latest version build number ending in 757? Is it a warranty issue. Seems like no one at 02 will commit to an answer, or even the existence of a new update.

It will be the usual wait for O2 to test the firmware (for bugs ???) before they roll it out..... 😞

I gather you are using Android Kitkat (4.4.2) in your last update and there's a similar issue with the LG G2 version (white noise in the left headphone channel). If you have a headset with microphone this should cancel out the noise, which implies to me a grounding or programming problem. Since it's all electronics and works fine with Jellybean it say the latter.

Hi I would personally say that it is a warranty matter the phone is not working as it should do the trouble is if you send it off to sony you will be without a phone for a time while they sort it out

It is software based issue that resulted in the handset sending audio to the earpiece rather than the external speaker. The update is rolling out to fix the problem and you may get it quicker by connecting to pc companion as ota updates are quite a while behind the pc service. You can also try downloading sony update service to a pc and running that if pc companion fails to update to 757

Says no updates available.

O2 should roll out fix fast. Very annoying having this bug. Have missed a couple of important calls because of this issue.
