It's weird, .. 

I know that the standard res is 1080p but because each of those pixels is made up of 4 actual pixels, it's impossible to see an individual pixel.

When you watch a 4k movie or any picture on the gallery tho, you can easily see the separation of the 4 pixels and the quality is brilliant.

I've got a feeling that text is rendered at 4k all the time, system graphics are 1080p but no way the text is 1080, it's definitely sharper.
The media 4k transition is good, once the soft buttons move out of view, the image or video changes into 4k in front of you, really nice. Any touch or presses and the soft buttons come back but the video stays 4k until you exit. There is a small (very small) pause as the system reverts back into FHD but it seems to work really well.
18% battery left with 5:36 screen on time, and a lot of that was 4k viewing and setting it fully up (75% brightness)
