Hi - I've noticed via XperiFirm (yes, and checking with PC Companion) that in the UK, Vodafone, Virgin and EE have already upgraded XZ phones to android 7.1.1. Is there a specific reason O2 are lagging behind? Three haven't done it yet, but I don't even think they've even pushed out the security update which the rest of us got about a month ago.

Oreo has been released for the XZ. I would like O2 to approve/release it for our phones. That it all. Cheers!

Don't worry, it's coming! 😉

Our device team received software for testing at tail end of last week and they're hopeful of getting it returned with approvals this week. Sony are usually pretty swift at turning things around at that stage so fingers crossed, you'll see it available sometime next week (or if all goes smoothly, maybe even by end of this week).

Thank you for the early Christmas present, Sony! [This is of course referring to the update to the original Oreo update, now]
