Xperia Arc Software Upgrade

I want my sandwich! I have a Sony Xperia Arc which I got from Carphone Warehouse but with an 02 contract. I have yet to get the software upgrade to the latest andriod sandwich/4.0

When can i get the upgrade please? It is my understanding that 02 are blocking it for whatever reason and I think that is unfair!

I just sent Sony mobile on fb a.message asking if it's true.

Be interesting what the reply is. I just.checked there is nothing about this on their fb page.

Sniffles so looks like i cant get the update after all Oh well it was worth a try. Thanks for all the replies! I am due to upgrade in Febuary so i shall hunt around then for a snazzy new mobile!

Thanks to all for the info and updates. I'm disappointed that my Arc won't be getting the latest software; but it's still a fine phone. Maybe my next will be a Samsung Galaxy Note IV   Now that'll be a phone and a half!

i just got a mesage back from sony mobile on fb........... the arc will get an update... as per the link u sent.

All depends on if the handset is unbranded & running generic software OR if it's O2 branded.

Unbanded should get the ICS 4.0.4 update from Sony

O2 branded your basically stuffed / stuck with original Gingerbread
